Feng (Gilbert) Qu, is the founding Director and Professor of Arctic Studies Center at Liaocheng University, China. He received his PhD in anthropology from University of Alaska Fairbanks. He focuses his research on Arctic prehistory and ethnography, shamanism, ritualism, and animism. He has published three monographs and numerous research articles, reviews and miscellanea about shamanism, animism, and prehistoric religious ideas in both Chinese and English. His recent monograph An Exploration of Prehistoric Ontologies in the Bering Strait Region which explores Inuit prehistoric art and shamanism was published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing in 2021.
